Peter Frouman

Peter Frouman is an Objectivist Slacker and has a Bachelor of Arts in History and a Bachelor of Journalism (News and Public Affairs) from The University of Texas at Austin. In 1996, he became a Linux convert after one of his professors mentioned a new operating system for those who pined for the days when "when men were men and wrote their own device drivers." Although he never actually wrote a device driver, he enjoyed tinkering with various systems in his spare time and appreciated the freedom and flexibility of open source software. After working for more than a decade in the private security industry, he began doing part-time system administration work for MadLab's predecessors in 2008 and in 2012 joined the MadLab team full-time. Since 2008, Peter has also volunteered his time as director for Safe Passage Foundation. Peter's hobbies including reading, travel, photography and cycling.
